Motivations
Building a solar car is certainly a lot of work, requiring a deep commitment and motivation. However, our team is determined to see this project until the end. Once completed, the members of our solar car team will have a one-in-a-lifetime achievement that very few individuals can feel privileged enough to claim: building their own fully working car.
By working within a team to accomplish a long-term goal, our members are learning skills that are highly conducive to success in college and beyond. Each team member will also learn more individual skills, ranging from finding how to efficiently market a product and raise money to learning how to solder and wire. Many of our students are aiming for STEM-based fields, and the experience which they are gaining will be invaluable to their future careers.
